Alumni Gathering for MEXT Scholars Held by the Embassy of Japan

On March 29, 2026, the Embassy of Japan hosted an alumni gathering for recipients of the MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) Scholarship Program. The event brought together three alumni and two incoming scholars.
 
During the gathering, the alumni shared their experiences and insights gained through their studies in Japan, highlighting the valuable opportunities provided by the MEXT Scholarship Program. The incoming scholars also spoke about their aspirations and expectations for their upcoming studies in Japan.
 
The event was honored by the presence of Ambassador ISHIGAMI who conveyed her encouragement and support to both the alumni and incoming scholars.
 
The Embassy of Japan in the Maldives wishes all MEXT scholars continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.

Note: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to non-Japanese nationals wishing to pursue studies in Japan. Each year, the Embassy of Japan accepts applications for the Research Students, College of Technology Students, and Specialized Training College Students categories.
