Courtesy Call on Ambassador ISHIGAMI by 2026 MEXT Scholarship Recipients

Ms. Aminath Firusha and Mr. Shimhaz Wafir, recipients of the 2026 MEXT Scholarship through university recommendation, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador ISHIGAMI prior to their departure from the Maldives.
 
Ms. Firusha will pursue a master’s degree at Kyushu University, while Mr. Shimhaz will pursue a master’s degree at University of Tsukuba.
 
The Embassy of Japan in the Maldives wishes them success in their academic endeavors in Japan.
 
Note: The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers scholarships to non-Japanese nationals wishing to pursue studies in Japan. Each year, the Embassy of Japan accepts applications for the Research Students, College of Technology Students, and Specialized Training College Students categories.
