On March 29, 2026, a delegation of fourteen students participating in the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention (APCC) Bridge Challenge Trip 2026 visited the Maldives and paid a courtesy call on Ambassador ISHIGAMI at the Embassy of Japan in the Maldives.

The Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention (APCC) in Fukuoka is a civic movement funded by local governments and supported by donations from corporate sponsors. For the past 35 years, APCC has provided international exchange opportunities for children in Fukuoka and has sent more than 3,000 children around the world.

During their one-week stay in the Maldives, the students deepened their understanding of different cultures and traditions through homestays and cultural exchange activities.
