Embassy of Japan showcases Japanese Culture at Kalaafun Fair 2024 held by Kalaafaanu School

The Embassy of Japan in Maldives participated as an exhibitor at the Kalaafun Fair 2024 held by Kalaafaanu School in Male’ on 14th and 16th November.
The Embassy has showcased some activities such as calligraphy and various traditional games including Wanage (ring toss), Kendama (cup and ball game), and Daruma Otoshi (dropping the Daruma doll). Among these activities, Yukata was the most popular particularly among the young students.
Over the two days, we welcomed nearly 1,000 visitors to our booth, engaging them in cultural exchange and providing a glimpse into Japanese traditions.
