Handover Ceremony of Rifle Shooting Clothing for the FY2023 Sports Diplomacy Enhancement Project

May 16^th , 2024 –H.E. Mrs. Takeuchi Midori, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Maldives, handed over five pairs of rifle shooting coats and pants to the Shooting Association of Maldives. The handover ceremony was held at National Shooting Range. Major General (Rtd) Hamid Shafeeq, President of the Shooting Association of Maldives, Mr. Colonel Ahmed Zubair, Vice president and Mr. Colonel Ahmed Shamin, Secretary General, SAM’s Executive Committee and esteemed members of the association attended at the ceremony.
 
We hope that this handover will lead to more enthusiasm for shooting sports in Maldives and foster greater sports exchange between the two countries.
