The Karate demo and lecture at Kalaafaanu School in Malé

On May 4th, Karate demo and lecture was held at the Kalaafaanu Schoolin Malé, in collaboration with "Maldives Karate Do Association", "Shotokan Ryu Karate Association" and "Association for Martial Athletes of Maldives",
Dr. Harano Kazuyoshi, from Yubukan Dojo in Fukuoka was invited as an instructor, and students practiced basic karate movements, techniques and Kumite.
Students had followed karate courtesy and discipline such as cleaning the dojo (place for learning martial arts) before the event and bowing before entering the dojo, and also they were very seriously engaged in the lecture given by Dr. Harano,
This seminar was a great opportunity to deepen the friendship between two countries through the sharing of culture and values, and the Embassy of Japan will continue to promote exchanges between Japan and the Maldives in various fields including martial arts and sports.
