Embassy of Japan Enjoys Great Success at Vacations Expo 2024

The Embassy of Japan in Maldives participated as an exhibitor at the Vacations Expo 2024 held by High Rise Pvt Ltd at Hulhumale’ Central Park from 25th to 27th April 2024.
Amidst stunning backdrops and cherry blossom branches (handmade by our staff!) that showed off the beauty and culture of Japan, the Embassy’s stall received more than two thousand visitors during the Expo.
Visitors had the opportunity to try unique experiences such as Calligraphy where they learned directly from Ambassador Takeuchi and her Deputy Chief of Mission to write their own names in Japanese. They were also able to try their hands at various traditional games including Wanage (ring toss), Kendama (cup and ball game), and Daruma Otoshi (dropping the Daruma doll), which were universally enjoyed by children and adults alike.
