Japanese Government Scholarship 2021.

The Government of Japan is offering scholarships to foreign students who wish to study at graduate schools of Japanese universities under the ‘Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for 2021’. For Maldives, potential candidature for the scholarship in the category of ‘research students’ is open for application.

The application deadline is June 30, 2020 and the Embassy will review the applications to prepare a shortlist for written tests and interview at the Embassy, and select one candidate for the scholarship.
Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan offers this scholarship program for those who are enrolled in master's course, doctoral course or a professional graduate course at a graduate school, or who are conducting research in a specialized field at graduation school or Institute attached to a university in Japan. This scholarship program established 1954 and more than 9,000 international students are studying in Japan with this scholarship.
