Exchanges between the Maldives and Odawara through sports

 H.E. Ms. Keiko Yanai, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Maldives, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Kenichi Kato, Mayor of the City of Odawara, Japan, on February 4, 2019.  Odawara City now serves as a ‘host town’ for Maldivian athletes of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Both sides held meaningful discussions on promoting exchanges between the Maldives and Odawara through sports.

 (N.B.  Located in the southwest of Kanagawa prefecture, Odawara is a major transportation hub and fairly close to Mr. Fuji.  Taking ‘Shinkansen’ or bullet trains from Tokyo will get you there in 30 minutes.)
