2019/1/21
The Embassy of Japan in Maldives held a pre-departure orientation for JENESYS’ second-batch participants on Thursday, January 17. They will stay in Japan for nine days so as to experience many facets of Japanese life.
JENESYS is an abbreviation of a ‘Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths’. The Japanese government invited five Maldivian working youths and nine university students for the program.
During their stay in Japan, five working youths will mainly stay in Chiba prefecture which is part of the greater Tokyo area and observe local-industry facilities while nine university students will visit Nagasaki prefecture and visit the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. Each participant will experience a homestay at a Japanese host-family, too.
The Embassy of Japan in Maldives wishes them to have a variety of experiences in Japan.
