Presentation of the Letter of Credence

 On January 3, 2019 from 1100 hrs, a ceremony of presentation of the Letter of Credence was held at the President Office in Malé, during which H.E. Ms. Keiko Yanai, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of Maldives, presented the Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of the Republic of Maldives.
 
 The Japanese ambassador conveyed cordial messages from Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan to the President of the Republic of Maldives, and expressed her determination to expand the relations between the two countries.
 
 Before entering the President Office, the Japanese ambassador received an Honour Guard of the Maldives National Defense Force at the Republic Square at Malé, and proceeded to the President's Office with a traditional Beru Dhunmaari procession.
